Crescent river smile sparkles 'cross plains dun
Sunshine world bathed in rays of brightest fun
Deep crows' feet lining the mounts' craggy face
Are the toll of millennia weathered in this place
On other days showers of tears and purest pain
Keep perfect time to this sad and windy refrain
Skies rent by brilliant flashes of rage and unrest
Prelude rumbling screams 'midst the tempest
Yet, morn' comes with a chance to start anew
Those piercing blue skies just take in the view
Of all that is below them, what they have done
Amends now made upon the return of the sun
